FAQ

Before you send

A few plain answers about how AuraPost works.

01

What is AuraPost?

AuraPost is a web app for sending digital postcards. You turn a photo into a postcard, write a message on the back, and it arrives in the recipient's email inbox a few days later, like real mail without the printing or stamps.

02

How long does a postcard take to arrive?

Between 1 and 5 days, depending on the distance between the two cities you choose. A postcard within the same city arrives the next day; one sent to the other side of the world takes 5 days.

03

Is it free to send a postcard?

Yes. Sending a postcard on AuraPost is free.

04

Does the person I'm sending to need an account?

No. The postcard arrives in their inbox with the full card attached. If they want to open it online, they sign in with that same email address. There is no password.

05

Do I need an account to send a postcard?

You sign in with your email address. We email you a magic link, so there is no password to create or remember.

06

What goes on a postcard?

One photo on the front and a short message on the back. Like a real postcard, the back has a fixed amount of space, so keep it to a few lines.

07

Is it a printed postcard?

No. AuraPost postcards are entirely digital and delivered by email. Nothing is printed or posted.

08

Can I see where my postcard is?

Yes. While it is in transit you can follow its journey from your city to theirs in your Post Office, and we email you when it is delivered.
